A life-long textile enthusiast, entrepreneur and educator, Jeanelle Dech has inspired thousands of professionals to build businesses around their creative talents. Her love of slipcovers began in 1988, when she encouraged her mother to join her in attempting to cover an ugly sofa with new fabric. Two days later, the result was a beautiful and functional seating area that became a joyful reminder of the empowerment one feels with accomplishment. This new skill evolved into a home-based slipcover business (one slipcover per week) that evolved into a full-service retail design studio, and lead to the launch of Adaptive Textiles, an innovative textile collection printing company now employing twenty-two people in West Chester, PA.
Jeanelle is the creative inspiration behind The Workroom Channel’s METHOD SHARE, FLY ON THE WALL, and REAL WORKROOM series (www.TheWorkroomChannel.com), and she is the founder of The Workroom Marketplace (www.WorkroomMarketplace.com) which offers a curated collection of drapery patterns and workroom efficiency tools, supporting an industry of professional sewists around the world.
