At the Shade Smart workshop, you will learn about roman shade fabrication and operating systems from industry leaders in a supportive, small group of workroom peers.
Deborah Cronin and Jennifer White have experience with and statistics for every lift system available, and Susan Woodcock is an industry expert on compliance with cod safety standards. At the Shade Smart workshop, you will become a shade expert too!
You will learn about spring, motor, and clutch systems; see a comparison of features and learn how to choose one system over another. You will see how to assemble, adjust, and tweak systems, and understand how they are used.
During the class, you will see shades made with a variety of fabrication methods and will receive information about how to comply with cord safety standards for custom products.
